Software — "As Is", No Warranty

JACR CNC Studio is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of measurements, toolpaths, orientation, or G-code output. This software controls physical CNC equipment capable of causing material damage, tool breakage, machine damage, fire, or personal injury. You are solely responsible for verifying stock size, workpiece position, bit selection, feeds/speeds, and toolpath/G-code correctness — including running a simulated/air cut — before every job. Never leave a running CNC machine unattended. Use at your own risk; the author is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this software, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Customer-Submitted Photos & Designs

By submitting a photo, image, or design for a custom carving, the customer represents and warrants that they own the rights to it, or have permission to use it, and that its use does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, or other rights. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold JACR Studio LLC harmless from any claim, loss, or damages arising from a submitted image that the customer did not have the right to use.

AI-Assisted Artwork

Some built-in designs and reference art are created with the assistance of AI image-generation tools. JACR Studio LLC makes no guarantee that AI-assisted artwork is free of any unintentional resemblance to existing copyrighted works. Built-in designs are offered as-is for carving reference.

Physical Products & Machine Operation

Carved wood items are handmade/CNC-produced and may vary slightly in grain, color, and dimension from photos shown. Not a toy — keep small parts and pieces away from small children (choking hazard). Wood products are sensitive to humidity, temperature, and direct sunlight. Operating CNC equipment carries inherent risk of injury and property damage regardless of software used; the user assumes that risk and is responsible for following the machine manufacturer's safety instructions, using appropriate PPE (eye/ear/dust protection), and never bypassing machine safety features. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for any product or software output is limited to the amount paid, and the user agrees to indemnify and hold JACR Studio LLC harmless from third-party claims arising from the user's own operation of CNC equipment or use of items produced with it.

Ownership & License

JACR CNC Studio, including its source code, design libraries, artwork, and carving/toolpath-generation algorithms, is proprietary software owned by JACR Studio LLC. Subject to your agreement to these terms, JACR Studio LLC grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the software for your own carving/production purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive or extract the software's source code or underlying algorithms; copy, reproduce, redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or resell the software; remove or alter any proprietary notices; or use the software or access to it to build or support a competing product or service. Violation of this section immediately terminates your license to use the software.

Cancellation & Refunds

Monthly, annual, and multi-year subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period, you retain full access through the end of that period, and you will not be charged again afterward. A refund for the current billing period is available only if your account had zero activity during that period — specifically, no G-code/STL/export generated and no use of the CNC machine controller. If you use any export function or the machine controller even once during a billing period, that period is non-refundable, whether or not you cancel before it ends — this applies upfront and without exception. Pay-per-export purchases are one-time charges for immediate digital delivery and are non-refundable once the file has been generated, except for a genuine technical defect caused by the software.
